Torii is a private osu! server run as a hobby. It is free, it makes no money, and it is not osu!. By playing here you are agreeing to what is on this page, which is short on purpose.

What Torii is, and what it is not

Torii is an unofficial fan server for osu!, built and run by Shikkesora. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ppy Pty Ltd, the people who actually make osu!. Nothing that happens here touches your official osu! account, your official pp or your official rank.

The client you play on is a modified build of osu!lazer. It is not the official client and ppy does not support it. When it breaks, that is ours to fix, not theirs.

Your account

• One account per person. You are responsible for everything done on it, including by anyone you hand it to.
• The Rules are part of these terms. Breaking them can cost you the account.
• Staff can restrict or ban an account, including as a precaution while they look into something. What that means and how to appeal is on the Restrictions & Appeals page.
• We can rename an account if the name is a problem, and we can remove scores that should not count.

Points, cosmetics and donations

Torii points are made up. They are not money, they are not worth money, they cannot be cashed out, and you do not own them. The whole economy, every balance included, is reset before the public launch. The details are on the Points & Economy page.

Donations pay for the hardware the server runs on. Donating gets you a supporter tag and cosmetic extras, and that is all it gets you: no points, no pp, no rank, no say in how a score is judged. A donation is a donation and not a purchase, so there is nothing to refund from our side. If a payment itself went wrong, that has to be sorted out with the payment provider.

Things you upload

Avatars, banners, profile text, score notes, beatmaps, replays: you keep whatever rights you already had over them, and by uploading you are telling us you have the right to. You are also letting us store it and show it on the site and in the client.

We can take down anything that breaks the rules or that we are asked to take down. That is covered on the Copyright page.

No promises about uptime, or about anything

Torii is one person's project on rented hardware. It can go down, lose scores, roll back, get something wrong, or stop existing. It comes as it is, with no warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for what using it costs you. Do not treat your Torii profile as the only copy of anything you care about.

We can change the server, drop features, or close accounts. If Torii ever shuts down, the data goes with it.

Age

Nothing checks your age when you register. If you are not old enough to agree to this on your own, do not register without whoever can agree for you.

Changes, and reaching us

These terms change when the server changes, and the version on this page is the one that counts.

There is no company behind Torii, no office and no legal department. Everything, disputes included, gets handled by talking to us in the Discord.
